Who have I become?
I ask myself that question and can find no answer.
I look into my heart and all I see is
Darkness.

What have I become?
I ask myself that question and can find no answer.
I gaze into my soul and all I find is
Anger.

Who am I?
I ask myself that question and can find no answer.
I search my feelings and all I feel is
Suffering.

Who have I become?
I ask myself that question and can find no answer.
I look into myself and see nothing more but
Emptiness.

What have I become?
I ask myself that question and can find no answer.
I search my feelings and all I feel is
Pain.

Who am I?
I ask myself that question and can find no answer.
I long for one and search the Force but all I see is
Misery.

No longer can I be
Harmonious and free
No longer can I be
The man I used to be

Baptismal fire
Funeral pyre

Jacen Solo no longer lives
Weakness is all he gives

Tonight he dies
And will cease all lies
Embrace destiny
Sacrifice forever
Tonight Jacen Solo will cease to exist.

So who am I?

I am now Darth Caedus
Dark Lord of the Sith

Just a little something I wanted to write about Darth Caedus. I was listening to Master of Puppets and felt this bizzare urge to write about one of my favorite characters from the expanded universe of STAR WARS.

It's supposed to be a sum up of his conflict and his rebirth as a Sith Lord.

An excellent poem. I'd have to disagree, however, that, before his christening as Darth Caedus, all he felt inside was darkness, anger, suffering, and so on. Being a scholar on Force traditions outside of the Sith-Jedi spectrum, I can envision him not fully understanding who or what he is (who does?), but I don't see him feeling the aforementioned adjectives. These are, I think, artificial constructions that were manufactured partially by Caedus, and partially by those who sought to make him a sith.

I agree that nobody ever truly finds himself and that we more often then not take that mystery to our final resting place....... On one hand yes they are artificial manifestations brought upon by whomever was influencing him but on the other hand Jacen was lost emotionaly in some respects by the last War. What I'm getting at is if somebody (Lumiya) throws fire onto someone's (Jacen) already fragile feelings and let lose his alter ego (in this case playing on totaly normal fears like how Palpatine created Darth Vader by things that were already there..... Lumiya created Darth Caedus)then those adjectives I used to describe him they are not totaly artificial because he himself was already insecure in someway. He simply allowed someone else to capitalise on this.... the adjectives have been severly hyperbolised but our not in my opinion entirely fake either.

Well written, but he's one of your favorite characters? i personally thought he was a terrible character, but to each his own.

I liked him as a character from rise to fall. In my opinion the best characters are the one's who are seasoned so to speak like most soldires often become. When you have complexe characters interact with others.
